What we do with your details.

Short version: we use them to quote your job and to do the work. We do not sell them, and we do not send marketing you did not ask for.

Who we are

Arc & Anchor, a steel fabrication business operating in Johannesburg South and Johannesburg East. You can reach us on WhatsApp on 082 827 1243.

For anything about your personal information, please use the enquiry form, so that there is a written record of your request.

What we collect

Only what you type into the enquiry form, or send us on WhatsApp:

  • Your name
  • Your phone number, and your email address if you give us one
  • The suburb the work is in
  • What you need made or repaired, and when it suits you
  • Any photographs you choose to send us

We do not ask for an ID number, a bank detail or an address through this website, and you should not send them here.

Why we need it

To come back to you, arrange a time to look at the job, work out a quote and then do the work. That is the whole purpose. If you give us an email address we also send you a confirmation that your enquiry arrived, so you are not left wondering.

Who else sees it

Three service providers, each doing one job:

  • Vercel hosts this website and processes the form submission.
  • Resend delivers the enquiry to our inbox and the confirmation to yours.
  • Meta, if you choose to contact us on WhatsApp, under their own terms.

Some of these store data outside South Africa. We do not pass your details to anyone else, and we never sell them.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and quotes are kept while we might still do the work, and afterwards for as long as the tax and accounting rules require. If a job never goes ahead, ask us and we will delete your details.

Your rights under POPIA

The Protection of Personal Information Act gives you the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. Ask us and we will do it. There is no charge and you do not need a reason.

If you are not happy with how we handled it, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.

If anything here is unclear, ask us. Plain answers only. Request an assessment.
